Susan Hammons is a wildlife & landscape photographer based in North America. A prior Dean, Division Chair, and Professor of Education and 1st grade teacher, Susan's passion for learning, wildlife, science, & the outdoors has lead her to being a passionate conservationist who has a love of teaching others about animals. With her love of writing, publishing, photography, & conservation she has just kicked off the new wildlife and photography blog, All About Amazing Animals, for kids or those who love wildlife and want to learn more about wild animals. And, if you love domestic animals, as much as Susan does also, you do not want to miss out on reading about her new faithful companion, Frisco, a very energetic Aussiedoodle, and his ridiculous antics on Livin' the Doodle Life.
The visual artistry of her photographs is born from not only her passion but also for a keen eye to spot & capture the many moods of wildlife and mother nature. This passion shines through in her work and has attracted a wide audience throughout the world including nature lovers, conservationists, animal sanctuaries, zoos, other photographers, teachers, parents, and many followers.
Her photographs have been published extensively in a variety of media ranging from calendars, books, videos, and advertising on social media sites, as well as in television commercials.
Susan has also received numerous awards & acknowledgements from her work by peer photographers. Her passion & commitment to conservation, fostered by her father and grandfather, who were avid fisherman, hunters, and outdoors men lead to her growing up & enjoying time spent on many lakes & rivers boating, swimming, camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking & viewing wildlife.
